About me
Smrity is a thinker, observer, and an enthusiastic learner (often about the subjects that interest her, which broadly include humanities, people, psychology, literature, and so on among others). She sees life as the greatest gift, which amidst its uncertainties unfolds a sacred pathway towards the greatest learning opportunities for mankind. She loves to explore the possibilities and complexities of life, people, experiences, relationships, and emotions through her writings. Her recent add-on to this list is the spirituality domain. Smrity sees writing as a powerful tool of expression that can lead one towards one's self-discovery and healing first, followed by a whole community, next.
Writing for Smrity therefore, is an agent to introduce the right change at the right time in the right place. Her writing interests include poetry writing, short stories, quotes, and essays. She likes to write both in English and Hindi. Beyond writing, she loves to explore and express herself through her paintings, sketches, songs, and even spirituality. As a professional, Smrity is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Bengaluru. Concerning her academic journey, Smrity has completed her PhD. in African American Studies. As a researcher, she acknowledges and celebrates her area of research for the fact that it has contributed greatly to her understanding of various themes which are also reflected in her writings, like those of self-expression, vulnerability, resilience, self-discovery, freedom, healing, and so on.
